EDUCATION
Although the government of Uganda provides free education at the elementary level, most children cannot afford to buy supplies, therefore, unable to complete school. We have sought out those who need the most assistance. Most of these students are orphans and lack the necessary funds to complete school.
St. Andrews School in Kiwani.
A holistic approach leads to development in all areas of spiritual, emotional, cultural, and social awareness. The Hope Institute model is to assist the students in their settings by providing scholarships towards their education, and to steer them towards the source of real hope. The bi-annual Hope Conference is one way to achieve that goal.
Objectives
- We will provide scholarships to eligible students for basic education, elementary to high school. The scholarships will include school supplies and basic needs necessary for attending and completing school.
- We will provide information about opportunities for college and higher education to those interested in pursing that goal.
- We will encourage development of technical and vocational education for students so that they can quickly get into the job market.
The SCHOLARSHIPS have helped a total of 39 students. They have been identified and are mentored by the Hope Institute program staff in Uganda.
